I'm pretty sure the intended audience for this book will not understand the references to Picasso, Matisse, or the Creation of Man unless they happen to be learning about it in school. There are also a number of terrible puns in the text. Nevertheless, I liked the illustrations a lot. A lot a lot. ( ) The story of Pigasso and Mootisse is based on two famous artists who were really named Picasso and Matisse, and were human, not animals. In this story there is a rivalry between the two artists, until they realize they miss each other and admit that they are both good artist. This book teaches students to be the bigger person and to try not to be too stubborn. Pigasso and Mootisse are two famous artist who decide all they want to do is paint so they move out of the country and live by each other. They start off as good friends and then suddenly it turns into a rivalry between their art. This rivalry causes them to build a fence between their homes. The two eventually miss each other and decide that they both respect each others work and in return, create a masterpiece together. This was such a cute story! Not only does it add humor to the book by making the characters animal people with their names matching the animal, but it teaches the lesson of friendship in a fun way. This would be an amazing story to read to class before they start a project or competition. I really loved the artwork and colorful illustrations. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
