They could control it until the hour before dark. After that it became something else. Something unspeakable. I liked the book and the story line but it took a little while to get to the why and how of the story. Overall it was a very good read. Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere. You get plenty of that with some spooky scenes and an overall creapy feel. The novel starts off well and builds that creapy atmosphere as you go along. However, you get a feeling you know what's going to happen. Clegg is obviously a very talented writer as he pulls you along the story, but the ending felt rushed without much really happening. I'm not looking for blood and guts here, just a little more meat in the end. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

Clegg depicts both the characters and the settings with economy, precision, and depth. I felt that I really got to know the island and its people. I strongly recommend this book to horror fans. ( )
