A great book for kids! This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. I read this book for a week with my 4yr old and my 2 yr old. It was the first book we read on the Kindle Fire and they both enjoyed the book a lot. This book teaches color and recognition in a 3-step format. For instance, the page representing Green would have the letter "g" in Green. The next page has a Green object and it reads "where is the green plane?" It would be up to your toddler to find it. It is the only object on the paper, so it quite easy to spot. The third page would have a rhyming sentence with the word Green. My 2yr old knows his colors, so we worked on recognizing the alphabets pertaining to each color. My toddler didn't seem as enthused about that third page, because it is beyond his ability right now. However, my 4yr old is learning to read. So I asked her to help me read the words on the page. The colors are very vivid. Also, my kids love dogs, so the doggie was a perfect companion on the learning adventure. Another plus was that the colors were not in the normal Red, Orange, Yellow...format. So my 2yr old had to recognize the colors and not guess based on traditional color scheme. If I were designing this book for toddlers, I would exclude that 3rd page. It seemed to throw off the rhythm for my 2yr old. I would make it about alphabets and colors only. When you are teaching a toddler colors and letters, I find that my kids like simplicity. The colored alphabet like "b" for blue was perfect. Also finding the blue object was fun. That last page where you use the color in a sentence is a tad advanced for 1-2 yr olds. It happened to work out for me because I involve the older sibling to read it. I would recommend this book for 1-2 years. After that, it becomes too elementary. **I received this book from LibraryThings Early Reviewers Program** This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. A wonderful book to introduce colors and sightword vocabulary to little ones. The preview of the next item and color are introduced in each of the previous pictures. This book lets them relate different colors to objects that they see on a daily basis, which further allows them to understand which objects have which particular color. Very cute! I think this is a cute little book and I plan on reading it to her a lot more. I feel this one is perfect for her to help learn the colors! sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
