Having read these in two months, I think I'll go read something else now. :-) ( ) Once again, two seemingly unrelated cases for Repairman Jack come together as part of a single battle againt evil. One is a pair of brothers running a scam on talking to the dead, while the other is a request to watch a guy's brother to keep him from hurting someone else. Then, throw threats against Jack's girlfriend Gia and her daughter Vicki into the mix, and you have vintage Paul Wilson. Suspenseful. An absorbing plot and some good writing to keep the reader cruising. The sixth Repairman Jack novel puts Jack in the employ of a couple grifters running a New York psychic scam, attracting violent attacks from their competitors. But are the competitors responsible for the mysterious, unexplained activities in their home? Another great entry in the Repairman Jack series. Still a very good entry in the series, but I have to only give it 3 stars only because the main theme is not as original as in some of the prior books. On the good side, the characters are memorable and well developed, and the ending is surprisingly heart-warming, considering it's probably the darkest book in the series so far. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
