"Queen of Bitter Thorn" is the fourth and final book in the Fae of Bitter Thorn series. And its such a magnificent finale! Characters: I love the connection between Elora and Brannick, they are such a cute couple. I also feel that we get to see the other characters even better and learn of their motives and emotions. Vesper and Lyren are my favourites here. The setting: I'm still in love with Faerie and how it is described here. We get to see some other courts and there are some new revelations, too. Story: The book started slow but ended with an unbelievable battle and twists and turns, which gave it an intense plot, so I couldn't put it down.😍 Conclusion: A wonderful and action packed ending for a great series! If you love Fae and unique magic, you'll enjoy this. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
Pertence à série
Faerie itself is on the brink of destruction. Alone and frightened, Elora must return to Bitter Thorn to share news of Queen Alessandra's most recent victory. But the realm is crumbling before her eyes. Frost covers surfaces it should not. Defensive enchantments are not as strong as they should be. Everyone in Faerie is falling prey to the Fairfrost queen's manipulation. Though Elora's magic sometimes works, she still has no idea how or why. At every turn, Ansel impedes their progress and feeds the fear they can't escape. Fairfrost Palace is now heavily guarded, which makes it nearly impossible for them to face Queen Alessandra. To restore Prince Brannick to his rightful place as High King, Elora must learn to trust herself. It might be easier if her victories would last. It might be easier if she lived. However, it just doesn't live up to the first two in the series and never captured me like those books. I was glad of the ending and was happy with how everything worked out in Faerie with Elora and Prince Brannick and the surrounding characters. Just a little let down with how the series fell after the second book.
