This is a Sailor Moon comic book written and drawn by the creator of Sailor Moon. This is the second book in the series, after all the Sailor Scouts have been found. The Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask are all fighting the Dark Moon to protect the Moon Princess. They find out that who they thought was the Moon Princess, wasn't and Tuxedo Mask is taken by the Dark Moon. These comics are for the purist in Sailor Moon fans. Unlike the Americanized novels, this doesn't take away any of the references to Japan and replace them. The story is the typical fantasy good vs. evil, with alot of action... In one volume of the comic, good may seem to lose, but the story continues in the next, so the reader needs to keep reading... Sneaky! The art style is very exaggerated (BIG EYES), but at the same time almost ethereal as it is done in ink. Without color, it would seem hard to portray the action, but Takeuchi uses fading and bolding to do it. It was written for young adults, but teens and tweens can easily read it. I recommend reading the first comic before the second... Unless you know all about Sailor Moon, some of the characters and events might be confusing. ( )
