HE'S A HOLLYWOOD SUPERSTAR. SHE'S LITERALLY THE GIRL NEXT DOOR. One of Hollywood's A-listers, I have the movie industry in the palm of my hand. But if I'm going to stay at the top, my playboy image needs an overhaul. No more tabloid headlines. No more parties. And absolutely no more one night stands. Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine and I'm determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly. She doesn't recognize me, she's never heard of Matt Easton and my million dollar smile doesn't work on her. Ego shredded, I know I should keep my distance, but when I realize she's my neighbor I know I'm toast. There's no way I can resist temptation when it's ten yards away. She has a mouth designed for pleasure and legs that will wrap perfectly around my waist. She's movie star beautiful and her body is made to be mine. Getting Lana Kelly into my bed is harder than I'm used to. She's not interested in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but I'm determined to convince her the best place in the world is on the red carpet, holding my hand. I could have any woman in the world, but all I want is the girl next door. A standalone romance. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

I recently discovered this author and have fallen down the rabbit hole where she is concerned. There is something special about the way that she creates her characters. Not only are they authentic and unique but they seem relatable which is an impressive feat considering that Gabriel is anything but relatable when it comes to the wealth that he has.
Even though this was technically a nanny/single dad romance, and one of the selling points as to why it read this, it was so much more than that. From the start, there was something about the connection that Autumn and Gabriel shared. The daughter, Bethany, and the reasons they were actually connected seemed to be much more in the background than what one would think a nanny romance would entail. I didn't mind that because I enjoyed watching this connection grow. There were a lot of cute moments and a couple of swoony moments.
I did have an issue with the whole Penelope thing. I wanted that fleshed out more, especially in regard to what her initial expectations were. It just seemed to come together too smoothly for it to have been such a big part of the story arc. That being said, this was still a good story and reminded me that I was right to fall in love with this author. I look forward to what she is going to do next. ( )
