In this book it is pig day and piggie is excited to celebrate. Elephant is sad because he believes that he cannot celebrate because he is not a pig. This is an excellent series to encourage children to read. Children will love reading this series. Do not forget to find the pigeon. This book would be good for primary aged children because it is an early reader. This book is about Elephant and Piggy celebrating pig day. Elephant gets a little sad when Piggy is celebrating with her friend while Elephant feels left out because he is not a pig. In the end after Piggy and Elephant talk, Piggie assures Elephant that you don't have to be a pig to celebrate Pig day. This book would be good to talk about friendship and diversity in the classroom. This book celebrates the fact that not everyone is the same. The Elephant and Piggy books are great for young readers! This story is about Pig Day, and how Gerald wants to celebrate with Piggy, but he can't because he is not a pig. Piggy tells him that the celebration is for everyone, and they all celebrate together!
