Some progress is made closing in on Mr. P, and team 236 manages to preform, if not to spec at least to goals. Family interactions on all sides if not always up close and personal. A bit of repeating of familiar tropes but that seems to go with the series. ( )

Challenges for the Weird Team as they finish their training and are now armed as well as dangerous. A London explosion takes out a city block; an apparently innocuous amateur pod builder, and his family. Twitches of suspicion arise and we are off to save ancient Greek monuments as they are being built. Paris during an Exposition becomes a focal point and also needs to be succored.
The Time Police need an "all hands" and a lots of weapons call for action resulting in a quite St. Mary's like dustup with quite a noise and a crater in Siberia. The TPs are so desperate that they need a historian from St. Mary's to assist. And, not just any historian but Mad Max, herself. This spinoff is gaining stature and rapture rapidly. ( )

Team Weird continues in this 3rd book of the Time Police series. I think this was the best one so far. It’s full of bad puns, narrow escapes, and righteous defiance. As Matthew Farrell continues to balance between his dual loyalties, there is an inevitable St. Mary’s overlap in the time jumping plot. Events moved quickly, and for the most part, it was good fun. ( )
