Brunstetter is a compilation of two books in a series that focus on twin sisters, Elma and Thelma Hochstetler. They inherit their grandparents' home and business and work to repair the home that has many needed repairs. The sisters may look alike, but their personalities are so different. One is easy going and the other is more set in her ways. I love these two stories. I like that both are included in one book so it is easy to keep reading the sisters' story without getting another book. The stories are well written with strong hardworking characters. These are good clean romance stories with a little mystery and suspense written into them. The stories are each rather short and can be read in just a couple evenings. Even through I read one of these stories years ago, I enjoyed reading it a second time just as much. >I received an ebook copy of this book from Barbour Publishing through NetGalley. I found the first story to be a bit slow going at first with a lot of descriptions, and then the plot picked up and I enjoyed it quite a lot. I liked the idea of two stories about the same people, so there was continuity and plot development, with a strong finish, some predictability and some surprises. This is a clean read, without violence, intimacy, or strong language, created by authors who are well-known in the genre of fiction about Amish people. The Christian message is clearly stated.
I received this book from the publisher and from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. The ideas expressed here are entirely my own. ( )
