Volume 4 continues in the same vein as the others (as expected). Short stories give glimpses into Tatsu’s new life – cooking with the new neighbour, story time for kids, babysitting during the school holidays and on the hunt for a hot new ingredient. I felt that it wasn’t as cohesive as the third volume, but it still makes you chuckle as a light-hearted read. It’s fun, but I do wonder how long the fish out of water aspect of Tatsu’s house husband life can continue. (

I keep accusing this series of driving its one joke into the ground, and it seems to double down this time around doing the hey-we're-talking-about-a-common-thing-as-if-it-were-really-drugs gag like three or four times in a row. The need to make a tortured joke overrides any chance at character development.

The only intriguing characters in this series are the women are the women, and too little time is spent with them, even though the wife was in a few more strips than usual this time.

Time to set this series aside, I think. (
