The therapist was highly unethical and the author was whiny at best. ( ) As someone who is now past a year of one-on-one therapy, I can sympathize with how solely scary it would be to share everything with a group. While I do relate a lot to the author’s journey, I don’t particularly love their attitudes at times. Some people go into therapy expecting change immediately, but that’s not what it’s about. It’s hard work, and I think they ultimately got that. This book has been on my TBR list for a long time, and sometimes I expect too much and am disappointed when I finally read a book from the list. I am a supporter of therapy and understand how valuable it can be, I just didn't find listening to someone retelling their whole group therapy story all that interesting. However, I can see how it would be helpful to others (I did a lot of reading about grief when I experienced a big loss). I listened to the audio version of this book. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
