------------------------------------------------------------- I found it a bit difficult to finish this book. It’s not that it was boring, but it didn’t really hook me either. In general, it wasn’t a bad book, but I was more interested in the political intrigues and alliances of the characters that live in Rocavarancolia than in what was happening to the kids. I loved the beginning, but it turned a bit boring towards the middle and I only finished it because I didn’t have too many pages left. It does turn much more interesting towards the end, when the danger and the action become clearer and I’m curious to know how everything ends (it’s a trilogy). Not so much the part with the children, which I can more or less imagine, but the other characters. I’m not going to continue the series right now, but I’ll read the other two books someday. The children were the characters that I liked the least. It’s true that they behave according to their ages, which is something that you don’t see in many other books, and it gives the book a bit of realism, but they’re quite childish most of the time. It’s only towards the end, when things start getting ugly, when they start reacting and realising that wishing to go home is not enough to make it happen. The characters of the town are much more interesting and you have all kinds of them, even a vampire. I loved the author’s imagination, not just about the characters, but also in the world. They’re both not only created very well, but also described, so that you can imagine the world and its people without any problems. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
