What makes this book great is its informal tone. It's told by real baseball fans that are looking to give the average fan's take on stadiums and their surrounding areas. It even has an element of adventure as the authors, in their never-ending quest to give you perspective from all areas of the stadium, often attempt to sneak into the high-dollar areas. Elements that show up in every stadium's review include: Review of the hot dog (stadium's hot dog's ranked from 1 to 30), reviews of each seat level including the price, a "signature dish", "Things to Do Before/After The Game," nearby restaurants, and an assessment of the scalping black market. All in all, the book is loaded with the kind of information you would want to know if planning a trip. I was excited before a ballpark trip to Oakland when I read that it had the #1 dog in baseball. That gave me something to look forward to! ( )
