This book "Amazing Snake"s is a great informational text for primary/intermediate level readers. They gives us a great discription about snakes in general, how the survive and why it hardto find snakes in the rural areas. Snakes come in all sizes from the lenght of a pencil to the lenght of a school bus. All snakes hunt for prey. They hybranate in the winter times. Some snakes use camofluge to conceal thenselves from animals that hunt them. Finally, due to the fear factor, snakes dont reside in rural areas unless they are kept as pets.
