The Shadow Colonel and his legions are searching for Dracula and if they find him… The Avengers under the Black Panther’s proactive leadership save the people caught up in the war. And they, too, are searching for Dracula. But where is Dracula? And what is his position in this civil war? _________________________________________________ Genre: Marvel Comics Graphic Novels Comic Books Superhero Why this book: I’ve always loved the Avengers. _________________________________________________ The Feel: Feels like filler. A lotta stuff happens, but it feels like a get-us-from-Point-A-to-Point-B story. Least Favorite Character: The Shadow Colonel is a cliche. Plot Holes/Out of Character: None of the characters jump off the page until the last page. Favorite Scene: Thori, King of All Dogs Hmm Moments: I like the set up for future Dracula: Lord of Chernobyl. Meh / PFFT Moments: I expected more after the way the previous two volumes were. The Sigh: Feels like it was all an excuse to shoehorn Blade onto the Avengers. Juxtaposition: Johnny Blaze: Lord of Hell and Roberto Reyes: Spirit of Vengeance Missed Opportunity: The Boy-Thing...wish more was done with that. Like The Dad-Thing coming for his clipping. For the build-up, the Winter Guard doesn’t feature very prominently in a story set mostly on their homeground. Thori needed more page time. There are the seeds of a better story here. _________________________________________________ Last Page Sound: Nice. The Kingdom of Vampires. Nice twist. Nice finish. Excellent.
