( ) This third book in the Jude Fontaine series begins with the discovery of a body of a child under the ice in Loring Pond and leads to a human trafficking scheme. Things get strange when it is discovered that the body might be that of a child who disappeared 20 years earlier. Meanwhile, Jude is ignoring letters from her lawyers regarding her father's estate and Elliot is becoming more and more a part of her life. He is especially important when someone drops off a four-year-old at Jude's door who almost dies in a blizzard because visitors need to be buzzed in at her apartment building. As Jude gets closer to the child whose only name is Boy, she finds herself opening up to let more people into her life. And when her partner Uriah has a medical emergency, she learns how much he has come to mean to her. The story had a nicely twisty plot and engaging characters. I enjoyed the narrator too. The Body Keeper Detective Jude Fontaine Mysteries, Book 3 By: Anne Frasier Narrated by: Emily Sutton-Smith This was pretty good except it was about child traffic ring. 😶 A rough subject. The author is great about setting the scene and making the reader/listener feel like you are there. Lots of suspense, and great world building. Terrific narration. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

The child can't tell them where he's from, who his parents are, or how he got there. He doesn't even know his name. But in his unspoken language, Jude reads something horrifying--a connection to the dead boys. Now a four-year-old with no name may be the only key to a twenty-year-old, very cold case. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
