Love you forever is about a mother who holds her baby in her arms every night and sings the same song to him when he falls asleep. The words are, " I love you forever, Ill like you for always, as long as your living, my baby you'll be." As the boy gets older, the mother continues to get older but she continues to sing the same song when he is sleeping. When he grows up into a grown man, she continues to do this until she gets too old. Once this happens she tells her son that he needs to come and see her because she is getting very old. That night he sits at the top of his stairs thinking for a long time and then goes into a nursery and picks up his new son and sings the same song his mother sang to him.

I enjoyed this book because it is realistic. It portrays that people do eventually get old and there is a cycle of life. I also enjoyed this book very much when I was very young and it would be a great book to share with others.

In the classroom, I would make a graph of students that have little brothers and sisters. I would also do a unit on growing up. ( )
