In the long-awaited follow-up to the #1 bestselling thriller INVISIBLE . . . the perfect murder always looks like an accident. FBI agent Emmy Dockery is absolutely relentless. She's young and driven, and her unique skill at seeing connections others miss has brought her an impressive string of arrests. But a shocking new case-unfolding across the country-has left her utterly baffled. The victims all appear to have died by accident, and have seemingly nothing in common. But this many deaths can't be coincidence. And the killer is somehow one step ahead of every move Dockery makes. How? To FBI special agent Harrison "Books" Bookman, everyone in the FBI is a suspect-particularly Emmy Dockery (the fact that she's his ex-fiancee doesn't make it easier). But someone else is watching Dockery. Studying, learning, waiting. Until it's the perfect time to strike.… (mais)

Now I love this James Patterson. This book (series) reminds me of his earlier work and why he is so well read today.
I really do like the characters in this and I like that they are believable and realistic. When the main female character, Emmy, puts her mind to finding something or someone, nothing will stop her. It seems only she able to do it. There are a few shocking revaluations in the second book of this series and I expect if it continues we will see a lot of that occurring. I feel like that’s part of what makes this series work so well it’s always nice to expect the unexpected from an author who has written as much as James Patterson.

Good mystery with many surprising twists. Very entertaining audio, but wish they kept the same female narrator. I like David Ellis's mysteries! ( )

Don't believe this should be just a 4 STAR rating however simply can't say this is totally amazing, but if I could, would give it 4 1/2 STARS as I believe that is what it deserves.

This is why I haven't given up on James Patterson! When he is on game (and the co-author is also) his storied are excellent and make for very enjoyable reading; this one being the case in point. The story was excellent never knowing until the end who the killer was, who was the mole in the FBI and which way was the story going. The detailing was very good where essential. Characters for the most part were very humanized and added a depth to the story that is often missing in the lesser Patterson books. Overall this is one of the best Patterson books I have read, it reminded me of his earlier works (especially the early Alex Cross books) in that it felt there was more emotion and depth in the writing and more feeling for the primary characters. James Patterson is if nothing else a great story teller, when he is on game believe he is capable of giving any reader a great read and making them smile with having enjoyed a solid story well told and written.

Would recommend this for anyone who enjoys a good mystery and a good book. ( )

A very disappointing and slow book. Add to that it's a boring read. Don't waste your time with this book. I gave up on it in less than 1/4 of the way through. ( )

An excellent read. The story continued Emma Dockerys hunt for serial killers whilst carrying out her job as a FBI analyst looking for an ethical bomber. Also her relationship with Books suffers great problems and causes a temporary split. The ending was very surprising and quite conclusive. ( )
