This was a great book on Chevy Inline 6s. My husband and I like to work on cars together and this book is a great asset. The pictures are helpful as well as the clear instructions. Great book! ( )

I had a Chevy truck with an inline 6 and this book is right on the nose for rebuilding tips and instructions. The superior photos speak for themselves. Incredible, like all CarTech books. ( )

Great step by step instruction of major components, with lots of pictures. I know nothing about Cara but I could understand most of what was in this book. ( )

Fantastic read....great design....wonderful vivid photos. I passed this book on to a few car enthusiast and it was an instant hit among the group. Informative...to the point...helpful. There is nothing I think that this book needs to be better.

A very nice effort indeed. The relative simplicity of the design and its iterations allows the allow to cover a lot of ground, well, in a concise volume. The author thus has the opportunity to address the ancillaries, e.g. carburetor and distributor, as well as the core engine rebuilding topics. The author strikes an excellent balance between remaining true to the original and introducing improvements that simply weren't an option at the time of the engine's original manufacturing and use. Improvements to the fuel and oil delivery systems are discussed with a good level of detail and not simply mentioned in passing.
This is an excellent effort that can benefit anyone interested in the old Chevys or even disparate engines as much of the content is transferable. ( )
