The plot forced me to accept things that were difficult leaps. I enjoyed, Elle, the main character, an enterprising burglar who gets caught up in a messy multiple murder. However, I wasn't ready to go with her on some of her travels as she unraveled the solution to the murders. Perry always writes books with solid dialog and well-defined characters. The story here just didn't capture me the way his books have in the past. ( ) I was fortunate enough to have received a free copy from Netgalley of this book in exchange for an honest review. The book is well written, (grammatically), easy to read, and has a lot of attention to detail. It was also fairly interesting, but not particularly so. The attention to detail was very tedious, whether about the burglary profession, or the items being stolen. The main character was also very thin - just couldn't ever feel that I really knew her, or even cared to. You know a book is not interesting when you are happy to finish it, instead of wishing there was more. I was happy to finish this one .... I don't know how to even start with a review. I was bored throughout, but finished it. The story line is a young woman who lives her life by stealing. Entering high end homes and robbing them is what challenges her. When she robs the home of a home that appears empty, she found three dead bodies, all in sexual positions. The life of the burglar is rather boring as she tries to discover who killed these rich people. There's not much to write about. I cannot recommend it. A story about a young, beautiful woman who is a professional burglar, The Burglar caught my interest right away. And I had fun, for the most part, reading it. That the author has provided a lot of information regarding burglary definitely contributed to the fun. The novel idea to earn much money without doing anything actually illeagal was clever, too. There were a few things I did not like much, namely the repetetive narrations detailing the burglar's movements and her thoughts, and the not-too-believable sequences towards the end. In short, The Burglar is a fast paced entertainment with a unique protagonist. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
