This is a collection of novellas related to the Selection series. The first novella is The Queen. This is the story of Amberly and Clarkson's Selection and how they fell in love. I enjoyed this story from Amberly's point of view. However, I am confused on how it showed Clarkson being upset about his parents not getting along and being abusive with each other and how he hates them because of it, then he turns around and is abusive to Maxon. Did he learn nothing from his own upbringing? The second novella is The Prince. This is basically Maxon's point of view for his first meeting and feelings for America. There's a little bit more before that, but not much. I would much rather have had a story about him growing up, what it was like being in the king's shadow, things like that. The third novella is The Guard. This is Aspen's story. I was hoping for the story of how he fell in love with Lucy, but that's not what I got. It was mostly his side of his and America's love story. There was some other stuff in there, but I was really hoping it wouldn't just be his side of their relationship. The fourth novella is The Favorite. Obviously, this is Marlee's story. I loved this one because it showed us what we didn't see in the novels...her falling in love, her experience with the caning, and how Maxon helped her afterwards. The fifth novella is a short series of events from Celeste. These were a few pages long each, her arrival, the kiss, and her official dismissal. The first was what you would expect, the second showed her true motivation for the kissing scene that America saw in the hallway, and lastly was Maxon letting her know he had made his decision and that it wasn't her. The sixth novella is The Maid. This is where we get more of the Aspen and Lucy story from her side. It still didn't give me the entire story that I wanted, but it was good. The seventh novella was After The One, an epilogue to the third book, leading into the final two novels. The eighth and final novella is Where Are They Now, going over what happened to a few of the Selection girls once they got back home. All in all, a good addition to the series although they weren't necessarily the stories that I wanted Kiera Cass to have written. Definitely read them if you're reading the entire series. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
