Ruby Dixon is becoming one of my favorite authors - I love her world-building! This novella was a quick and fun read. I will be adding the rest of this series to my tbr! ( ) I have this down as previously read but I don't think I made it all the way through last time. Either that or I totally forgot all but the first 2 chapters. Oh well this time I made it through. It was okay. Really it just seemed like someone's racy fantasy. It was sweet that the hero was fulfilling a life long crush. However, I needed a ton of willing suspension of disbelief to accept that an 8 year old boy remembered a girl he met for a month at most 15 years ago. I know how much I remember from being 8 and it's not much. If he'd seen her a few times throughout the years, maybe. Then there was a bunch of sexy times to be explored. Anyhoo, it was well done as slightly racy little story because this author is very good. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
Sixteen years ago, Princess Halla of Yshrem saved the life of an eight-year-old barbarian boy and watched her kingdom fall to ruin, all on the same day. Now, she is a forgotten spinster in a quiet temple, living her days out in solitude. The last of her line, she exists in the hope that she has been forgotten, for to be remembered by the enemy is to be certain death. One person has not forgotten her. Mathior, now twenty-four, is the fierce warrior king of the Cyclopae. Yshrem is in turmoil and his advisors have a suggestion-kill the last remaining member of the royal line, and there will be no rivals for the throne. Mathior has a different idea. He's loved Halla for sixteen long years, and it's time he claimed her as his wife. But a barbarian's wedding customs are unlike any other . . . Contains mature themes.
