I really took my time reading this because I did not want it to end, knowing that the next installment would probably be awhile. I slowly devoured and savored every bit of this book. I positively love the new set of characters -- the Wind Riders (River, et al.). I love how strong willed the women are in this series -- they're leaders and don't back down; their men respect them as strong willed women -- I love that! The only slightly disturbing thing about the entire book was any scenes with Death in them, which is how it should be. You'd have to be dumb and blind to not see the parallels between Death and "current events". It makes reading those scenes that much harder ... knowing that they're not entirely fiction and actually happening today :-( Adrianne sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

This story has great potential but there is a lot of repetition, a lot of sticky sweet commentary and congratulations that is just over done. The narration compounded this with lots of high pitched voices. The characters come across as very one dimensional either being completely good or completely on the dark side.
*HUGE SPOILER*
This story ends shortly after Mari's Pack joins with River's Wind Riders but stops short of the final confrontation with Death. I plan to read the next book to see if it comes across less childlike without the narration."
