I did listen to about 1.5 hours of this, during a road trip, but I didn't find it more than a little diverting. It starts off as a caper to retrieve a risque painting that was done of a friend, before she can marry your best friend - something like that.

I 'm sure it is worth finishing as I haven't read a Cat Sebastian novel I didn't enjoy - all four of them - particularly Two Rogues Make a Right. (

Hartley always wanted to be a fine gentlemen but finds himself embroiled in scandal. Then he meets Sam, who runs a pub and things start looking up. Didn’t like this one as much as the first, but still a fun light read. (

I find some minor flaws in it, but the inclusion of color and social class issues —and how they are included— overshadows any flaws in my book.

I have read two books by Cat Sebastian, both five stars for me. A new favorite? I'll know it by reading other titles by her besides this series.

While I didn't enjoy this quite as much as I did Ben's story, I did enjoy it a great deal. Not only are the women in this story just delightful, but Hartley's tougher than he gives himself credit for, and Sam is a big ol' cinnamon roll, luckily surrounded by people who love him.

And now, I await #3 and the story behind Will's missing friend. *glares at clock* (

Awwww. Again with the sweet and steamy seductions. Love the interracial dimension to this book, and the thoughtful wrestling with status and unintentional offense. Love the thoughtful work on abuse and finding personal paths to recovery. The disreputable dog, like pretty much every character in this book, is totally endearing -- seriously, I want to spend more time with this household -- from Kate and Nick to Alf and Sadie and the baby to Hartley and Sam. All endearing, and all very appealing. (
