Carregando... The Kingdom of Copper (2019)de S. A. Chakraborty
A very good second book, where it really hits home that even the "bad" guys have reasons for doing what they do. Even when I don't agree with them and think they make depicable choices, I understand why. And that makes this an excellent book. Dat gaat me gelukkig steeds beter af. It didn't pick up until 2/3 through. However, the ending was pretty epic. I don't know how I feel about authors that have such a long drawn out build up and then a big finale. I was slightly annoyed, but then very satisfied with the ending and that the characters and their motivations were complex. Good character development. I love when the characters aren't complete dummies and somewhat suspicious of other's motives as a real individual would be. 2607 Enjoyed the second instalment a lot. More politics but also action. Started to understand more of the world. Still not really sure who the bad guys are. Looking forward to the last book in the trilogy. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

"The sequel to S. A. Chakraborty's brilliantly imagined fantasy The City of Brass, which #1 New York Times bestelling author Sabaa Tahir called "the best adult fantasy I've read since The Name of the Wind", in which a young con artist drawn into the kingdom of the djinn must navigate her way through their dangerous world of magic, court politics, and ever-shifting alliances"-- Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
