I love Debbie Macomber books. I would highly recommend this book. It is a short sweet romance. ( ) Shelly Griffin and Slade Garner are passengers on the same flight from San Francisco to Seattle. But bad weather has caused rerouting to Portland. As the delay continued, Shelly and Slade found themselves making a deal at the car rental counter, as only one car was left. Shelly is excited and hopeful of arriving as soon as possible to enjoy spending time with her father celebrating Christmas on her short break from work. Slade is optimistic about accomplishing an important business meeting and securing an agreement before everyone’s gone for the holidays. Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the rental car is so delightful. Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! Curl up with this touching Christmas story that warms the heart and glitters with love. A heartwarming novella to read at any time of the year but all the more magical to read during the holiday season. I enjoyed this clean, romantic, snowstorm of a story. I've voluntarily chose to review this story and I've given it a 4.5* rating. It's one of those attraction at first sight things, that leads to a few twists and turns on this holiday weekend. It kept me interested and wanting to know how it turned out. I've enjoyed several of Debbie Macomber's books and I look forward to more. This is a charming story of two travellers trying to get home to their respective loved ones during Christmas. A chance meeting, a vicious snow storm and a car ride home brings Shelly Griffin and Slade Garner together. It was a nice short little romance novel that had me smiling throughout the book. I guess what I liked about the book was the timing of my reading it. With all the other stories I read about death and destruction and one person trying to get over and cheat on another person, reading this story where two people come together was refreshing. It was good to read about human interaction where one human being was not trying to outsmart or kill another human being. It was good to see that emotions can have a positive impact on people. I recommend this book. It will be a good break for you as well. Yeah it's predictable. Yeah it's formulaic. But you know what? It's also easy to forgive just to see how the story pans out. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
Shelly Griffin of San Francisco is on her way to Seattle for the holiday, to visit her dad. When her plane is rerouted to Portland due to weather, she's stuck sharing the last available rental car with Slade Garner. She's not immediately convinced she likes him but she sure is attracted to him! All the hours they spend together show her that this is a man who could change her life. Will Slade be her father's new son-in-law? Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
