This is actually 2 murder stories in one book, with a preview of Red Alert at the end.
Murder Beyond the Grave begins with a kidnapping and a burial alive.
Murder in Paradise is the story of a woman who wants to renovate a camp that she visited as a child, but her husband isn't interested, yet gives into her wishes. She ends up dead.

Both of these stories based on real-life events are quick reads of a crime that happened, and the quest to find and prosecute the killer. As James Patterson says, "The bad guy always gets caught."
