Ah, little Daisy, Susan, and Esther are growing up. They seem to have very busy lives at college, doing everything you'd expect 19-year-old girls to be doing--except actually going to school. Daisy enters an exhausting relationship, Susan contracts pneumonia, and Esther cleans disgusting ovens and meets their grumpy neighbour. None of these things actually involve academics, but one can only assume they attend a class now and again. Still though, that's just what it's like to be young. The depiction continues to be sweet and, as the kids would say, relatable. (

I will never tire of Esther, Daisy, and Susan! Every volume of Giant Days is a delight. John Allison has become one of my absolute favorites. (

teen/adult graphic fiction series - Chapter 21 - a burglar steals the TV and Daisy's most valuable possessions; 22. Daisy goes out with her crush, Ingrid; 23. Ed, McGraw, and McGraw's girlfriend are invited over and Dean crashes the dinner party, Esther meets the taxidermist neighbor and gets a new job at a comic book store while Susan deals with a worsening cough; 24. Susan's dad, Big Geoff, moves in while Susan recovers and then the neighbor dies. (

Esther, Daisy, and Susan settle into life in their house and deal with a break in. Daisy explores her sexuality and starts seeing a girl. Esther explores her work options. Susan's dad comes for a visit when Susan gets seriously ill.

Such a wonderful place to immerse myself for thirty to forty-five minutes. Do you like feeling good? Read this series. Feel good. (
