While this novel hinted at a love triangle, it was the "secret so explosive that it could shatter both our worlds" that had me picking up this book.

I wanted a big twist and that's what I got! I definitely didn't see that reveal coming!

I'll start by saying that this is an adult contemporary novel that reads more like a new adult novel. Personally, the ages of the characters are just past the cut off for me to classify it as a NA read. But I think fans of either genre will enjoy it because it sure is great read!

The relationship between Halo and Thomas is highlighted through flashbacks and was very well done. Everything builds at a great pace and you just get the reveals as you need them to help you fill in all the pieces, which is fantastic.

However, I wonder if too much time was spent on the exposition and not on the consequences of the "reveal". Not that the ending was rushed by any means; it's just that it could have been flushed out a tad more I think. But regardless, I still enjoyed the plot of this novel immensely.

There were a touch more erotica-based scenes than what I expected; but that was a personal preference. Otherwise it sticks to establishing the relationships more so than the "sexy" times.

If you want a novel that will take you an quite the emotional journey, this is a fabulous one to pick up!

I absolutely loved this book. It was a very sweet love story. Contains some adult content and the ending was a bit predictable but still a very good read ( )
