I really enjoyed reading the Curran Point of View, even if I wanted more... ( )

3 stars. The writing is good, but Curran's attitude makes me angry. On the other hand I really liked reading his views on everything. I just hated them for the most part. He's an ass in the first book. Thoughts on individual scenes below.

UNICORN LANE (Magic Bites)
She crouched with her hand out. What the hell was she doing...?
"Here, kitty, kitty, kitty."
Oh my God. She was an imbecile, and I was going to kill Jim.

One of my favourite lines. I love that Kate said it. I love it even better from Curran's point of view.

FERNANDO'S (Magic Bites)
I really hate how badly Curran thinks of Kate. She's done nothing wrong and he seems to think she's a spotlight whore. He doesn't even know her.

SOUP (Magic Burns)
It's hilarious reading Curran's thoughts. Him and Kate both have major communication issues. Their wires are so crossed it's not funny.

MIDNIGHT GAMES (Magic Strikes)
What the hell is wrong with Curran? Why does he always think the worst of Kate? LMFAO Julie. She's such a badass bargaining with the Beast Lord to let him out of the cage.

HOT TUB (Magic Strikes)
Oh Curran, the ego on you. I like that he thinks it's not casual - I just wish he'd tell Kate that. They're not on the same page - they're not even in the same book.

KATE'S ORIGIN (also referred to as Kate's Daddy) (Between Magic Strikes & Magic Bleeds)
Why does no one ever trust Kate? At least Curran's changed his tune. It's about time. But come on Jim - you've known her for years, like she'd run because of Roland.

NAKED DINNER (Parts 1 & 2) (Between Magic Strikes and Magic Bleeds)
Curran when Aunt Bea wants to see him; It's like the Warren Zevon song: every time she wants to see me, it ends up being 'send lawyers, guns, and money.'"

Hyenas are the best. I loved Curran finally backing Aunt Bea into a corner for Andrea to be accepted. And Curran are you freaking kidding? No one could call and say you'd be late? That you had broken legs? He does my head in.

CONCLAVE (Magic Bleeds)
Saiman is so dumb. So so so dumb.

AWAKE (Fathers and Sons) (End of Magic Bleeds)
It makes me so angry that Kate's not accepted. After everything she's done. After everything Curran's done and they just dismiss it all. Poor Curran being betrayed by his clan, by Mahon. I wish the wolf alphas (Jennifer and Daniel) had of challenged Curran and Kate - I would've liked to have seen Curran and Kate decimate them.

This was a great behind the scenes look at some of the material from the Kate Daniel's books from Curran's point of view. Particularly, I loved their first meeting on Unicorn Lane, and also Curran's reaction to the events at the end of Book 4. Excellent job showing the love Curran feels for Kate. ( )
