This was really good! It wasn't super memorable. As in, I read it last month and I can't remember what happened. But I definitely DO remember loving it.

I know I really enjoyed it while I was reading! I remember the ending, which I thought was just the perfect ending for this story! I also remember totally predicting the ending like... ages before it happened. But. It was still a perfect ending.

And okay, I do remember SOME of the book. The world building was great, and SUPER fascinating! I totally went into this thinking it was historical fiction, and I was sort of thrown off when I realized it wasn't, but after the initial surprise wore off, the modern setting worked REALLY WELL for the story.

The characters were good? I liked Dee. I liked James. Their romance was sweet? I sorta shipped them? They were pretty unremarkable though.

Okay but the SIDE CHARACTERS! By which I mean, Riley and Gremma! I ADORED these two! Riley was such a fantastic character, and she had so much depth, and she... uhhh... actually all I remember is my overwhelming live for her. But trust me. I loved her. She was great.
And then Gremma. Oh. My. Gosh. Gremma is easily the best character in this book, and I LOVE HER WITH ALL OF MY BEING!!! From her very first line, I knew I was going love this girl. AND I DID! I LOVED HER SO MUCH!!!

And their romance? Perfection. It was a very small side romance, but they just clearly had so much chemistry. And also I adored them both so much, soooo... ahhhhhh I loved these two!

Look, this was a really good book. It was maybe a tad unmemorable, but honestly I also just have a terrible memory. This was like 15-20 books ago. Can you blame me? So yeah, despite the fact that it didn't really stick with me, I really liked this book, and I would highly recommend it!

This book was really good. It was intense and heartbreaking, but what else could you expect from a book about heartless teenagers? ( )

I loved this. It had a concept I haven't read before, it had a sad but satisfying ending, and I liked all the characters. Good Stuff. ( )

A really interesting take on demons. In this world the demons are “out” and it is becoming more common for people to make deals with them. In exchange for a body part the demon grants a wish. But when Dee goes looking for a demon he doesn’t want just any part, he wants her heart!

I liked the world of this book. Pretty much like our world with the addition of demons walking about. Learning what the demons did with the body parts and why was really cool. Watching Dee learn to give her trust to others was emotionally satisfying. I think this is a great book. ( )
