Kusama is an amazing artist. All my stars for this review are for the photographs of the art. The words crammed between them are a miserable slog of academic art criticism and study.

Over the same days I read the book, I also on-and-off watched the Yayoi Kusama: Infinity documentary now available on Hulu. It's not nearly as dry as this book and seeing Kusama's performance art and installations in motion is even better than these still representations.

Big thanks to Kusama: The Graphic Novel for introducing me to this fascinating creator. (
