I thought the secret baby element was handled differently here. I liked that the hero didn't blow his top but rather agreed that he wouldn't necessarily have handled being a dad well earlier before he got sober. Although that didn't necessarily excuse her secrecy. But 19 year olds don't always make the best decisions. I did feel that the ending explanations were a bit too abrupt. ( ) FGMAMTC Blog Review Teaser Pic & Giveaway 3.5 stars Bryan is a perfect man. He's a good person. He's sexy, tall, athletic, mature, rich, etc. He has a lot going for him. This wasn't always true. He was an alcoholic to the extreme for awhile. During his party days, he met and slept with Eilish. He was so far gone with blackouts and other effects of alcoholism that he doesn't even remember much of that time in his life including Eilish. A night that was nothing on his radar, changed her forever. She got pregnant, had to drop out of the college program she was in and was disowned by some of her family. Now they're crossing paths again. He's 100% interested in her but doesn't remember their past or know that he has an almost school-aged son. She's jaded despite the evidence of what kind of person he is since being sober for a couple of years. This is a secret baby, second chance type romance when looked at from Eilish's side and a good guy sports romance on Bryan's end. There's some comedy and a few heart moments. It has some drama but isn't overly dramatic. Sean, Eilish's cousin and Bryan's teammate, and Patrick, Eilish and Bryan's son, helped to keep the mood light. This is the third book in the Rugby series, but it can be read as a standalone. It's definitely worth checking out. ***Copy given in exchange for an honest review*** Fangirl Moments and My Two Cents Website / Facebook / Twitter / Google / Pinterest / Goodreads / Tumblr / Bloglovin' / Instagram Bryan Leech is older and wiser now, determined not to repeat the mistakes of young adulthood when partying and drunkenness prevailed in his life. There's one mistake he doesn't remember that is going to bite him now that Eilish Cassidy is working as a therapist for his rugby team. This is one of those secret baby stories common in contemporary romance. Fortunately, Bryan is a better man now and his fascination with Eilish is sweet. The reveal drags out a bit, but there are plenty of funny moments to carry the story. Absolutely amazing. The best secret baby romance ever. We had the foundation laid in the previous book for Eilish and Bryan, they did not have a good start to say the least. The book story takes place four years later, Bryan has been known to readers as a womaniser and in this book we learn his problem lay heavily in drinking. Previously he had been perceived as not a very nice person, certainly not someone you would want your daughter/ niece involved with. Eilish is Sean Cassidy's cousin and they have a wierd family background, her mother was horrid. We find that Bryan has cleaned up his life and he comes into association with Eilish again and of course she is raising their son but he doesn't know. I found it an emotional story,as is normal for Cosway/Reid combination it doesn't go down the usual route and issues you think will be the focal point are not but instead their history and emotional worries are what cause the problems. Fantastic scenes with Sean and Patrick, Eilish son. We see alot of Sean which is great as I love him from the previous book. We see more of William and I love him, really hope he gets his own book. There was a lot going on in this. I feel like some conflicts were even ignored in the end? Maybe I wasn't reading carefully....hmmm. My main problem with this is I wanted to smack Eilish straight in the forehead. I may be fed up with the "poor little rich kids from cold homes" characters. I guess I struggle not when people are too vulnerable, but when they aren't vulnerable enough. And I guess I didn't understand why Eilish wouldn't be. If she trusts her cousin, Sean, to the extent she says she does, then what the hell? Who continues to push away a sturdy guy after months and then I can't put my finger out what was missing other than the lack of a believable POV of the heroine IMO-I love tough but vulnerable heroines. They tend to be my favorite. The authors didn't pull that off in this one. Ultimately, I feel like everyone truly wants to be happy and much of this was a level of self-defeating that just didn't sit with me. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
