Almost entirely wordless. (I believe the only word in the book is "Hi", used twice on one spread.) I love the way the illustrations blossom into colors as a friendship develops between the two kids.

This book has not words and large artwork, it is a easy book to read by small children. The story is about a boy that move to a new house, and is building a special place for him, but this catcher his neighbor's curiosity, and end up helping with the project. Good book for showing how to build new friendships, and cooperation. ( )

That Neighbor Kid is all about the illustration, and they are lovely. ( )

This book is almost wordless, but it tells the story of two neighbors that become friends. As they slowly form a friendship while also forming a treehouse, the black and white pages slowly become more colored, until the end of the day when they share a juice box in their now finished tree house, and wave goodnight to each other from their bedroom windows.

This is a tale of finding new friends. There is only one written word, "Hi". The rest of the story is told by the illustrations. Predominately in black and white, color begins to enter towards the end of the book to show the joy of having a good friend. ( )
