Assuming a potential client is merely an uneasy tourist, Joey Montague, still reeling from the apparent suicide of his partner, accepts a bodyguard job for Private Johannesburg. But Isobel Collins isn’t an uneasy tourist; she’s investigating problems with her husband’s company and Joey soon discovers that nothing . . . including Khosi Khumalo’s death . . . is what it seems.

As with all BookShots, this is a fast read with lots of action and minimal character development. Nevertheless, the quickly-building suspense draws the reader in from the beginning and although astute readers may figure out the twist before the final reveal, it’s a fun read. ( )
