There are so many amazing facts revealed in "Animal Disguises". Children as well as adults will enjoy reading about the quirky, clever, and creepy ways animals protect themselves from predators. ( )

Animal Disguises is just published by Kingfisher which means the pictures are prominent, colorful, and large. As the title implies, this book is about camouflager. The information is useful, but the pictures give the students a great visual to connect to the text. Children will love this book. Students in grades 2 to 5 will like this book. Teaching ideas include camouflage, animals, adaptations. ( )

Animal Disguises does a great job explain the different ways and why animals camouflage themselves in their environment. It has real life picture of the animals they are talking about which adds to the understanding of the book. At the end of the book they have some fun at home projects to try. This book would be great for science class when introducing animals in their natural habitat and why they look the way they do. ( )
