The series keeps getting better and better. The world-building is mind blowing, and the character depth in this one had me in tears. It's wonderful to watch characters I love grow in their humanity, or lack thereof. It's especially poignant to stumble with them, experience loss and triumph with them, and just to feel with them in general. Tahir has, once again, outdone herself. I'm floored. READ THE SERIES! So many feelings I was waiting for this book, preordered it and I'm glad I did so I didn't have to avoid everyone to avoid all the spoilers lol. This one was even more intense and emotional than the other two books! It was a bit more darker and a lot of bog things happening. A lot of major reveals with all the characters and the storyline as well. There was one of the reveals in regards to Laia and her mother and what happened with her mother etc that was a little hard for me to read, stomach and process though. Of course there was a lot that was hard to process - I'm going to go to sleep and hope to process some of this and out of the book hangover stage soonish. I'm kind of hoping for some possibly more positive moments in the next book, but we'll see. If you've read all the books except this one, you need to read it. If you haven't checked this series out yet, go check it! sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

It is a good book, but unfortunately my mood shifted shortly after starting this. I was not in the mood for this type of story, but since I got the book from my library and had to return it soon, I decided to push through and finish it. I might have rated this a little higher if I was actually in the mood for this type of story. Another downside that made me rate it a little lower was I thought this book was the final one in the series, but once I got towards the end I quickly realized there's no way this could be the final book. Once this series is actually done, I will probably do a re-read before finishing up the series. Hopefully, I'm in the mood for this story the next time I re-read it; I think I'll appreciate it a lot more. ( )
