Deborah has loved Toby Valders from afar for years, but Toby has just been an on again - off again friend. When Deborah goes to Chicago for more training, Toby will realize how much he misses and loves Deborah. There is so much more to this story as the author does a great job of keeping you up-to-date with all the folks you have come to love and enjoy. There is sadness and sorrow at times, but the author gives a realistic view of how life was in the early 1900s. I will miss these folks and their faith and love amidst hardships and tragedies. The Blessing series is lovely and heartwarming. This latest installment did not disappoint me. The stories can be a little to syrupy sometimes, but the characters are well drawn. (
