Good sequel, there is at least one more book in the series. Plot and characters kept my interest. Lots of sexy times.

I love how it incorporates Greek mythology into a European medieval fantasy world with a thoughtful racial makeup. (

This was a good continuation from the first book. We get to see Cat and Griffin and the crew go on more adventurous. And we also get to see everyone come to a better understanding on what their part is in this whole situation. Cat’s history is fascinating and her acceptance of who she really is, and what Griffin is to her, is key. And she comes into her own in this book. I love how Cat and Griffin’s love for each other can literally conquer all.

That being said, there was a lot that happened in this book. And I get that this is a world filled with magic and surprises. But every dangerous situation seemed to be solved by highly improbable means that seemed too convenient, even for a fantasy book. But it was still fun to read and I definitely can’t wait to get to book 3. (

Well, that was a really bad way to start. I was liking it again for the last half of the book, but in those first few chapters it almost lost me. Felt very wrong, whole thing was a little uneven compared to the first book. Came back together for the ending though. (

3.5 stars
This started out kinda slow but when the quest started the pace really picked up, and then it kicked into overdrive once the Agon Games began. The final battle and finding out Cat is pregnant was the capper. It seems that the Gods truely are on their side as the final round of the games show when they were gifted with the trident and when Cerberus showed up for the fight against Galen.
Now I'm looking forward to the final book in the trilogy. (

I first read this series because it kept appearing on sites when I was looking up books by Ilona Andrews, who I love. I was not disappointed, it's great. The story is fascinating and really well fleshed out. The characters are well rounded people who I love and hate at times but always care about. I cannot wait for the next book in this series so I can immerse mysyeld in this world again. (
