Everyone should read Shel Silverstein. Everyone. ( ![]() I enjoyed reading this book full of poems. The poems are all sweet and lighthearted; I liked that some of the poems had a hidden message or lesson behind it. I would recommend this book to other poetry lovers out there! If you like his work you owe it to yourself to listen to him read his work. Be warned though you will probably feel bad that you can't read them to your children as well as him. This story is about a children's imagination and many different crazy stories such as a crocodile going to the dentist, where shoes fly, and even sisters being auctioned off. It is a place where you wash your shadow and plant diamond gardens, a place where shoes fly, sisters are auctioned off, and crocodiles go to the dentist. A collection of poems and illustrations.
There's some nice, lively stuff in here, good for reading aloud on a sleety weekend afternoon. Just don't make it the only book of verse on the children's shelves.
A boy who turns into a TV set and a girl who eats a whale are only two of the characters in a collection of humorous poetry illustrated with the author's own drawings. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
