Rook is chasing her dream-film school and a chance at a life beyond the one she ran from six months ago. But before she can become the girl she wants to be, she must deal with the girl she left behind. Ronin is also chasing his dream-a family of his own and a life away from erotic modeling. And he too, has a past he's trying to forget. A past that makes Rook question everything about their life together. Lies, secrets, and shocking truths will rock the foundation Rook and Ronin have built. Can they put the past behind them and move forward together? Or is this just another too good to be true relationship that will crash and burn in the end? Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

As much as I've enjoyed the other books, this is easily my favorite because we learn soooo much more about all four of the main characters; Rook, Ronin, Ford, and Spencer. They all gain so much more depth and dimension, with so much of the things previously alluded to finally exposed to the light of day. But of the four Rook, Ronin, and Ford take center stage when it comes to depth of character development. But not to worry, Spencer will get his very own book, right after Ford's.
I especially enjoyed watching Rook finally really start down the path to growing up in a healthy sense, and to find emotional stability. She is faced with a choice that sets several things in motion, with possible outcomes ranging from death to grabbing life & love and riding that wave as far as it goes. I won't tell you what the catalyst is, or even which way her choice sends the dial spinning. What I will tell you is that it is one hell of a ride, and has it all - action, adventure, daring, strength, weakness, and so many fluctuating emotions that you'll want to invest in Kleenex before reading (and I don't just mean a box of Kleenex, I mean their bloody stock)!
Once again Ms. Huss crafts an incredible story that takes you on a wild ride, and deftly drags you through pretty much the entire range of emotions possible, and back again. At the end of the day she has also set us up for Ford's story, and she does it in a way that may surprise you, but then again, if you've been paying attention, maybe it won't be a surprise at all. I guess you'll just have to read it to find out for yourself. ( )
