Nancy uses her fun French words throughout the book to continually add a little extra flare. In this book the basis was how Nancy and her friends all wanted to get rich quick. Nancy and her best friend Bree tried many little projects to get some money. They even took some items into an antique appraisal show to see what they were worth. Nancy was surprised when they told her that her costume jewelry necklace was worth $200! She didn't want to sell it because it was a very special gift. Bree and Nancy both learned sometimes the best things in life are free. Such as a sentimental item, the stars, their families, and each other. I would highly recommend this book with a very important underlying lesson. ( ) This book is appropriate for beginning chapter book readers. The Fancy Nancy picture books are very popular with young children and the Nancy Clancy chapter books are perfect step up for children. Throughout the book, Nancy teaches the readers French and "fancy" synonyms for common words. This is great parents who want their children to expand their vocabulary. Overall, it's an okay book which carries the message, the best things in life are free. It's not one of my favorite children chapter books but young readers seem to enjoy it. The story begins with Nancy telling her parents about one of her wealthy classmates and all the things she has. Her parents explain that although they may not be rich, they have all they need in life and are perfectly happy. The rest of the story consist of Nancy trying to get rich in different ways. First, she tries finding hidden treasure with a metal detector, and then she tries opening up two businesses but quickly discovers how difficult and expensive that can be. By the end of the book, she realizes some of the best things in life are free and that no amount of money can buy things that she considers priceless. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
