Carregando... Eternity's Mind: The Saga of Shadowsde Kevin J. Anderson
![]() Nenhum(a) Ainda não há conversas na Discussão sobre este livro. Not the finest example of Kevin J Anderson's work, more of the same in the end. ( ![]() I basically liked this three book series. It had multiple subplots that wove together forming multiple themes along with multiple characters from multiple planets etc. Writing was good. What I didn't like, and this was in all three books, was how author kept rementioning what had happened previously. I think he thought this necessary because of how many different characters/subplots there were. To me this was like wading through water when you want to run. It slowed me down and made me prone to skip through parts just to get back to what was actually happening. As a result, it took me much longer to read this series than normal and instead of anticipating what was ahead in the story I found myself bored and wishing it would just be finished. Very disappointing because of this. So disappointing. Yes all the threads are neatly tied up but it wasn't a story. Lots of things to be frustrated about but the biggest is.... What is Eternity's Mind? We get hints of it over and over and then the book ends without ever fully explaining it. :( As much as I enjoyed the separate viewpoints per chapter in previous books...in this book, it grew to be overwhelmingly annoying. Most chapters were barely 5 pages! Sad that a great series had to end this way. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
Two decades after the devastating Elemental War, which nearly destroyed the cosmos, the new Confederation restored peace and profitable commerce among the peoples and worlds of the Spiral Arm. The ambitious, innovative Roamers went back to their traditional business of harvesting the vital stardrive fuel ekti from the clouds of gas giant planets, and the telepathic green priests of Theroc provided instantaneous galaxy-wide communication via their connection to the powerful and sentient worldtrees. The alien Ildiran Empire rebuilt their grand Prism Palace under the light of their seven suns, and their Mage-Imperator declared a new age of expansion and discover. But peace was not to last. The malevolent Klikiss robots soon found an ally in the ancient and near-omnipotent Shana Rei, destructive creatures who are the personification of darkness and chaos...awakened after millennia of slumber to destroy all sentient life in the universe. The Confederation and the Ildiran Empire fought in every way possible, but the Spiral Arm itself seemed doomed. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
