This is the sixth book in this kid friendly series about Jasper John Dooley and his friends. In this installment, Jasper and Ori find out that they can read to Molly the dog at the library on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They both take books out of the library to practise reading them. When Jasper drops his book in the bathtub he is worried. His father tries to help him dry it by putting it in the oven. When they forget about the book and it starts on fire, dad puts the fire out using the fire extinguisher. The book is ruined and now Jasper has to find money to pay for it. Jasper and Ori try a couple of different things to earn money before finally coming up with a winner. This beginning chapter series is perfect for young children with strong reading skills. I would recommend this for very young readers who struggle with finding a chapter book they can read without having to worry about mature content. The plots within are simple, and related to things young children would deal with. It has easy-to-read print and cute black and white illustrations. A cute story and series. Thanks to Netgalley and Kids Can Press for the opportunity to read and review this book. All Jasper wants to do is read a book to the dog with a frown at the library. He misses his first chance but takes a book out of the library; only to have it ‘murdered’. Now, Jasper is afraid he is banned from the library. It is an enjoyable story for young children that is not only humorous but shows the importance and joy of reading. The illustrations are cute and go with the story. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

In this engaging and entertaining story about a boy with a unique way of dealing with life's challenges, Jasper John Dooley's creative problem solving soon has the whole neighborhood reading...and eating toast! A great starting point for discussions about responsibility, owning up to mistakes and the importance of community. .Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
