Honor Brown hates school she paints a vivid picture of all the evil things they do. Her teachers are wicked, and her friends are villains. The lunch ladies feed them worms and coal it's just a terrible school. They throw children out of windows, and if you talk in class, it's off with your head. When its time to go home Honor Brown is sad cause she still going to miss it. ( )

Poor Honor Brown just hated school, and happened to be quite the storyteller. She told stories of how awful school was, "cafeteria lady feeds us worms." Even though she completely fabricates how "awful" her school is she ending up missing it in the end. I feel like this relates to most students. (will add more to this later) ( )

I Hate School is adorable! I love the plot of this story. The little girl gives every reason, over exaggerated reason, as to why she hates school but at the end she does not want to stop going because she would miss it. This is a funny little book that I know kids will enjoy reading because a lot of kids do feel this way about school even though they would hate to actually stop going. ( )

"I Hate School" is a very humorous story that gave me a nice insight of what some children think of school. Honor really dislikes school and isn't holding back on explaining why. She tells how the teachers and staff are monsters, and that the cafeteria serves them disgusting things for lunch. She gives several reasons why her school is just so evil. By the end of school, Honor realizes that school isn't really so evil, and that she misses it. This book also includes very descriptive illustrations which made the book very entertaining. It rhymed, which made the story very fun to read. I love that this book teaches children that they may think school is bad, but in the end it really isn't at all. Overall, this was such a fun story, and I intend on having this book to read to my students in the future. ( )

“I Hate School” is an adorable story that made me smile the whole time while reading it. Honor Brown absolutely hates school because she claims many bad things happen there. She says her teacher is a warty toad, her friends are evil villains, the cafeteria workers serve the students rabbit poo, and the principal chops off their heads if they talk during class. Throughout the story Honor goes on about the evil school she goes to. But when she no longer has to go to school, she misses it. Honor Brown clearly has a huge imagination, which made the story extremely entertaining. I loved the illustrations! They were very detailed and went along with the text perfectly. The illustrations help the readers be able to see the terrible school Honor is talking about. I also love the rhyming text, it made the story even more entertaining! Overall, this was a great story! If you want to read a silly story to kids, this is truly a great one. ( )
