In the Trow- Wife's Treasure, farmer Bracken, a not so wealthy man, helps the trwo-wife find her baby. Her baby flew off by accident and was lost somewhere on farmer Bracken's farm. After Bracken finds the baby, the trow-wife invites him to meet her the next day. The trow-wife presents him with a chicken in which she gives him instructions to care for and after a year It will present him with a special gift. The chicken lays a gold egg, and farmer Bracken becomes very wealthy. Even though he becomes wealthy, he still stays the kind, helpful, and humble person that he always was. Money didn't change him.

This book shows you that money doesn't have to change you. You can have all the money in the world, and still be a nice and good person and help people.

Olivier Dunrea enjoys writing folklore stories. You can tell by the dialog of the trow-wife that this was a folklore, as well as the words they use such as "bairn" which means child. ( )

Absolutely gorgeous book design and illustrations; they support the story and characters perfectly. Only one thing - I'm not sure what the farmer actually does with his reward - the text leads one to believe there's some cleverness, but the best I can figure is the simplest.
