This book was recommended to me because I like angsty romances. It certainly was - for the book's first part, but then the story kind of frittered away. The overarching conflict with another gang trying to take over the motorcycle club's territory wasn't resolved, at least in this book. I was left wondering what happened, but this is partially my fault because I didn't realize this book was part of a series, and I guess that gets resolved in a later book.
Millie and High had three good years, but then she broke them up, leaving him to wonder what happened. Twenty years later, he finally discovers the reason, with lots of tension and angst sprinkled into their relationship. But then the story drags (and this is a long book). I liked both Millie and High?Logan and the other characters in the Chaos MC. The dialogue and setting felt authentic, but the drama with his younger daughter felt slapped in to fill out the story. I know this is getting ridiculous, but I got to say it. I Loved it.
Just wondering if there will be a 5th book in this series.
Seems to me there are still some things that need to get tied up. So definitely room for more in this series. ( )

First half was good second half was boring. The point of romance novels as I've said before is the conflict between a man and a woman (or between 2 men or 2 women, whatever floats your boat) but still conflict and resolving of said conflict. If you resolve the conflict in the middle of the book you better have more to your story than 'will her boyfriend's children by his first wife ever like her?' to carry your story.

Here I only finished the book because I paid for it. First half was good I will say even if it was full of flashbacks. And I thought the reason she left him was weak. ( )

I enjoyed this book! I am so glad that I finally got around to reading this one since it has been on my tbr for basically forever. I am a sucker for second chance romances so Millie and Logan’s story was easy for me to get behind. I decided to listen to the audiobook and Kate Russell did a fantastic job with the narration.

Millie and Logan were in love when they were young and they both thought that it would be forever until Millie called it off without any warning. Fast forward twenty years, Logan is a divorced father of 2, and Millie is a successful business owner. When they reconnect, it takes them some time to actually open up to each other. They have both changed a lot in the years they have been apart but the chemistry between them is still there. The big question is can they make it work this time.

I liked Millie and Logan and loved how much chemistry they had. At first, I wasn’t sure how they would make it work because their lives seemed to be very different but that changed once they opened up with each other. They did have a lot of obstacles to overcome but it quickly became obvious that they still had strong feelings for each other. Logan is the quintessential alpha male which is okay in a story but would drive me crazy in real life.

Kate Russell does such a good job with this book. I love the voices that she uses for the various characters. I was impressed by how much emotion she was able to express in her reading. I do believe that her narration added to my overall enjoyment of the book.

I would recommend this book to others. I did feel like this book was a bit, okay maybe more than a bit, too long but that is my only real complaint. I had a great time with Millie and Logan as they worked to find their second chance at a happily ever after.
