Join a young boy as he hops around the globe, visiting friends in 13 different countries spanning all 6 populated continents. Along the way, he introduces us to each friend's environment and customs, and shares interesting facts about each country's culture, language, food, geography, wildlife, landmarks and more. Each country has a dedicated spread with a small map that shows geography and landmarks, letting readers imagine they are traveling, too. The format makes it easy to spot similarities and differences between countries. This informational picture book brings engaging nonfiction content to younger readers by showing them how other children just like them live around the world. Playful, realistic illustrations done with stylized realism lend warmth and whimsy to the book, making each locale feel welcoming. This is an informational story by Natalie Diaz. She writes about a young boy who visits different places around the world. She shares some of the different languages, and some of the types of food, some of the tourist exhibits that are good for visitors, and talks about each culture. I would recommend this book for kids who talk about traveling and seeing different places. The text is good at making its reader more curious about each place. The illustrations are well thought out as well. ( )

This book follows a young boy as he travels around the world and visits different countries on 6 different continents. The book presents various different facts about the geography and cultures of each country along the way. This book would be great in a social studies classroom as it presents the different cultures and geographies of each country throughout the book.

This book is about a young boy who travels the world, and introduces the readers to a variety of countries. I think this book would be perfect for a social studies classroom because it gives facts and scenarios about each country. It also doesn't specify the nationality or name of the main character so it's really easy for any student to identify with him. ( )

A Ticket Around the World is an exciting book to read that teaches the different states. This book is revolving around the main character, who also is the speaker and tells the story on the different states. Each page gives different facts and historical events that have occurred in the state and the most memorable things to remember. ( )
