More fantasy than romance although the prospect for a relationship in the future was implied. Felt as though I was reading book one of a longer series but alas this is not the case.

This story is a very early work of JL's and it meant to have a sequel. Yet, for whatever reason, the sequels never came to be.

3.5 Stars - Not a bad story, just wish there was more to it. I would have liked to know more about Jaxom's past and his relationship with Lord Meren Ko, and while there was enough info on the past events for the purpose of the story, it wasn't enough to satisfy my curiosity. One of the things I love best about Fantasy is the world building, I wish there would have been more here with a longer story. ( )
